53rd CENTRAL REVENUE SOUTH ZONE SPORTS MEET – 29th& 30th JANUARY 2023, BANGALORE
The 53rd Central Revenue South Zone Sports Meet concluded
today at SreeKanteerava Stadium, Bengaluru.
The Sports meet was organized by Karnataka Central Tax and Customs Zone.
There were a total of 17 sporting events such as Hockey,
Football, Cricket, Basketball, Swimming, Volleyball, Lawn Tennis, Table tennis,
Badminton, Billiards, Squash, Carrom, Kabaddi, Bodybuilding, Athletics, Chess,
and Contract Bridge.
Most
of the events were held at SreeKanteerava Stadium while events such as Hockey,
Football, Cricket, Swimming, Billiards and Squash were held in their respective
games stadiums.
Around
800 officers from the Department of Revenue from the five southern states
participated in this event. The participants were divided into four Zones viz.
Kerala, AP & Telangana, Tamil Nadu and Karnataka.
The
contingent from Tamil Nadu won the “Overall Championship trophy”.
The
Runners Up trophy was won by the contingent from the host State – Karnataka.
In
