Devanahalli : Elections were held for Harohalli and Koramangala Gram Panchayats of Vijayapura Hobli in Devanahalli Taluk of Bengaluru Rural District and the results of the Congress supporters made a difference. In the Harohalli Gram Panchayat elections held for 12 seats, the candidates supported by Congress got seats while the supporters of JDS won 1 seat.
In the Gram Panchayat elections, Congress supporters won 8 seats and created history and captured the panchayat administration held by JDS party. JDS supported candidates got only 2 seats. Congress has succeeded by not allowing BJP to score at all in Koramangala and Harohalli Gram Panchayat elections.
