Chief Minister inaugurates and will initiate several development works at Chitradurga on March 4th Chitradurga : Chief Minister Basavaraja Bommai, who will be arriving to participate in the conference of the beneficiaries of various Schemes of the Central and State Governments at the city's science college ground at 11 am on saturday, will also inaugurate and lay the foundation stones for various developmental works on the same occasion.

Chitradurga assembly constituency various roads Developed at the cost of Rs. 218.90 crore  by Public Works Department.  

Chitradurga Local Audit Circle Office building built at cost of Rs 1 crore.

The  Inspection Bungalow building in Chitradurga city at the cost of  Rs 4.95 crores. The project work  of providing best-class infrastructure under Kutira Project, to tourists in Hireyguntanooru Hobli Maraghatta village at cost of Rs 6 crore. Under Bhadra Upper Bank Project, in Chitradurga city various C.C. roads construction and development of  CC roads in various villages and construction of check dams at the cost  of  Rs.14.30 crores.

Government Post-Matric Boys' Dormitory at Chitradurga City Post-Matric Girls Dormitory at cost of Rs 7.95 crore,

Indira Gandhi Residential School built in Kadleguddu village of Chitradurga taluk at Rs.15 crore.  

Commercial Complex built behind the Nagada Tourist Mandir. at a cost of Rs 6.32 crores through Welfare Department for the Lidkar Craftsman. Under the Minority  welfare department constructed Maulana Azad Abdul School at the cost of Rs.2.35 crore  built in the city.

Morarji Desai Girls' PU Residential College at a cost of Rs 10 crore. Under the purview of Police Department, District Armed Forces Administration Office Building constructed at cost of Rs 4.25 crore.  Kote Police Station in the city at a cost Rs 2.08 crores. Badavane police station building at the cost of Rs 2.08 crores. 

District Industrial Centre built at a  cost of Rs. 6.97 crores of Cost under MSE-CDP Cluster Development Programme. 

Under College Education Department. Construction of additional buildings of Government Arts College Boys 'A' dormitory at cost. 1.99 crore from Nirmithi Kendra.

Metric Post-Boys Science College and Hostel building in the city at cost of Rs. 1.99 crore. Under Chitradurga municipal council limits  07 Rajakaaluve development works at cost of Rs. 18.97 crores. At  Rs. 3 crores cost 5 parks development  works done. 

At Rs.12 crores Upgradation of Shantisagara and Vanivilasa Sagar Rechaka units supplying water to the city and construction of upper level water reservoir in the city. At the cost of Rs 6.60 crores Sewage system works done in the city.


The Chief Minister will also inaugurate the mother and child hospital building built in the city at the cost of 24 crores under the health department. 

On the same day, the Chief Minister will lay the foundation stone and perform Bhumi Puja for various development works in Chitradurga Assembly Constituency. The details are as follows...

Under Bhadra Upper Bank Project 1801 hectares of land from 7 villages for micro-irrigation facility project costing Rs.115.31 crores.

At the cost of Rs 51.70 crores C.C. Roads development in the city and various villages.

Under The Rural Development and Panchayat Raj Department Rs. 592 crores project work of providing drinking water to the residential areas inbetween  Chitradurga and Hiriyur taluk.

 Rs. 28.34 crores under the Public Works Department for the road development. 

Rs. 1.50 crore for the construction of 2nd phase of local audit circle office building.

8 crore Rupees for  Construction work of Circuit House near National Highway Office in the city.

At the cost of Rs. 6.50 crores SC Girls hostel project from Social welfare department.

Dharmashilpa Bhawan Construction at D.S. village at the cost of 1 Crore Rupees.  

   Under Chitradurga Municipal Council limits Various road development works at the cost of Rs. 16 crores.    

   At  the cost of Rs. 9.90 crores 12 parks development works project.


For installation of high mast and street lights for lighting system in Main Roads all circles and all crematories. at cost of Rs.4 crore.

Rs 3.35 crores under Backward Classes Welfare Department for post-matric medical and engineering girls' hostel in the city.

At cost of Rs.14.17 crore under the health department  Foundation laying, Bhumi Puja for 50-bed critical care unit works will be done.

A total of Rs 1,038.40 crore under various departments in the district as a whole. The Chief Minister will inaugurate and lay the foundation stones for the cost development works. Out of this 161.63 crores Rs. Inauguration of many development works

completed.  At a cost of Rs. 876.77 crores, projects will be undertaken by

laying foundation for various development works.
